Today's youth, saturated with media from birth, is facing a crisis like no other. Can a revolution take root? In #ReGENERATION, narrated by Ryan Gosling, director Phillip Montgomery documents the galvanizing forces behind the Occupy Movement and the state of social activism among today's youth. The film features appearances by Noam Chomsky, Adbusters' Kalle Lasn and the late Howard Zinn, as well as influential cultural activists including Talib Kweli and Mos Def and journalists including Amy Goodman. All grapple with the same concern: how can such a beleaguered generation make it through a profoundly broken world? Jay Walker, a high school senior, sums it up pretty succinctly in the film:

"If we want to leave anything to future generations, it needs to be the fact that we tried."

The film premieres tonight at 7:30 p.m. in New York.
