Not For Long Motherfucker
Words and music by Anne Stott

Hey amateur hack
On that new throne of power
Get on back to that gold gilded tower
Sure you squeaked out a win
But you’re striking out now
And I promise you
This is your last bow
You shoulda stuck to your best pursuits
Hmmm, let’s review
Sending jobs to China
Scamming students
Hiding your taxes
Settling lawsuits
Firing contestants
Sucking up to Putin
Cheating on your wives
And spewing twitter rudeness
Grab this by the pussy Mr Reality TV
Every lesson from history
Is a reminder
That your kind
Is wrong every time

Not For Long Motherfucker
We’re the future you’re the past
Not For Long Motherfucker
We’re the future you’re the past
Not For Long Motherfucker
We’re the future you’re the past

We’re the future We’re the future We’re the future

How many sinister tactics had to get lit
For you to get voted the minority President
Well first there was just you
Using all your ugly tricks
Like the birth certificate sickness
And kick out immigrants
You tapped into that white rage
And stirred it up day after day
Until it gave you your base
While the TV so called news
Gave you hours of free play
Because the ratings were amazing
And Putin and Comey sure had your back
Why not? since you kissed Putin’s ass
And asked him to hack into the DNC
So he flooded websites with lies and deceit
I mean really tell me please
Who from your campaign team has not lied to hide meetings
with Russian emissaries
And Comey tipped off Rudy
About his pre-election email spree
But don’t think we don’t see
That the ax was just to distract
The FBI’s heat
From your Russian misdeeds
And aren’t you lucky that the country
Could reject so easily
the most overqualified candidate in history
For you who likes to philander and assault women
While signing executive orders to prevent us
From defending ourselves or aborting your messes
Because you decreed you’d keep jobs in the country
Please
Ivanka and you have been sending jobs overseas
Since way before the TPP
You made white people believe
That you’d represent for working people’s interests
To get you elected president
Then you dare to stack your cabinet
With billionaires who are the management
Who want the working class subjugate
For their very own profit
and give tax breaks to the richest
While you fly on our dime to milk the presidential office
As free advertisement for your properties
You’re a one man swamp of corruption and greed
But here’s another lesson from history
Since you clearly don’t read
The people don’t rise up frivolously
Or because they’re getting paid
Or bored with Thursday night TV
The people know when they’re getting played
The people know you’re using our country for your own pay day
The people know all your news is fake
The people know you’re the real disgrace

Not For Long Motherfucker
We’re the future you’re the past
Not For Long Motherfucker
We’re the future you’re the past
Not For Long Motherfucker
We’re the future you’re the past

We’re the future We’re the future We’re the future

It’s we all the people not just the rich white and straight
That make this country great
When we demonstrate
When we stopped your ban
When we killed repeal and replace
Don’t be surprised when we twist your fate
There will come a day
When you’re fired
Maybe we’ll lock you up for a good long time
Cuz you can’t pit us against our sisters
Our brothers
i’ll stand for immigrants
Trans kids
Black power
So you do your damage
Cuz you’re going down fast
Then we’ll build the future when you’re with the past

Not For Long Motherfucker
We’re the future you’re the past
Not For Long Motherfucker
We’re the future you’re the past
Not For Long Motherfucker
We’re the future you’re the past

We’re the future We’re the future We’re the future

Who are we
The people
Who are we
The people
Who are we
The people
Who are we
The people

participatory budgeting, citizen decision-making, Porto Alegre, Brazil

Citizen control of spending decisions means communities decide what their city does and does not do with public funds. For 30 years the process has worked in Brazil, and now it's spreading rapidly.

Did you know that showering less will save some water—sadly, not millions of gallons that fracking operations use in a day—nor will it keep your water safe from contamination—or your house from exploding

Greek economic crisis, Greek bailout, Syriza party, Greek austerity measures, E.U. bailouts, Alexis Tsipras

Poverty, privatizations, debt – in Greece, which just officially "ended" its bailout program, the silent majority can't let go their fear that this might just be the prelude to something worse yet to come.

California, privatization, PG&E, investor-owned utilities, energy utilities, fire risk, fire damage, Global Climate Action Summit, public banks, energy prices, consumer fees

Oil companies heat and dry up the planet, power companies start fires on the dried up land – and we pay the bills.
