Occupy the Pianos is a new work for two pianos and electronics written by composer Ruaidhri Mannion, commissioned by the Francoise-Green piano duo, recent winners of the Nicati Competition in Switzerland.

"This new work for two pianos and electronics explores the identity and journey of the international protest movement, Occupy," says Mannion, who hails from Ireland and whose work has been called "haunting" and "unapologetically left field." The full work will premiere on September 14 at the Bern Biennale Festival in Switzerland, and will premiere in the UK and London in early 2013.
